How to Size Your Cover

Rule of thumb: allow at least 100mm clearance at the front and on each side of your battery.

  1. Measure your battery: height, width and depth, including any stacked modules, isolators or conduit that will sit under the cover.

  2. Width: battery width + 200mm (100mm each side). Choose the next width up.

  3. Depth: battery depth + 100mm at the front. Choose the next depth up.

  4. Height: choose the next height up from your battery, leaving room for any cabling above it.

  5. Check your battery's installation manual. If the manufacturer specifies larger clearances, theirs apply.

Example: a battery 680mm wide × 1080mm high × 260mm deep needs a 900mm wide (680 + 200 = 880), 400mm deep (260 + 100 = 360), 1.19m high cover.

Important Installation & Clearance Requirements

Solar Equipment Covers (SE Covers) are designed to provide external protection from environmental exposure such as sun and weather while allowing for airflow around the equipment. These products are not designed to enclose, seal, or thermally insulate battery or inverter systems.

All covers must be installed in accordance with:

  • The equipment manufacturer's installation requirements

  • Minimum clearance and ventilation specifications

  • SE Covers installation guidelines

It is the responsibility of the installer and/or purchaser to:

  • Confirm correct sizing and internal fitment prior to installation

  • Ensure adequate airflow and heat dissipation is maintained at all times

  • Verify all manufacturer clearance requirements are met

  • Determine suitability of the product for the specific installation

Improper installation, restricted airflow, or failure to comply with manufacturer requirements may result in reduced performance, equipment damage, overheating, or voiding of manufacturer warranties.

SE Covers makes no representation or warranty regarding:

  • Compatibility with specific battery or inverter systems

  • Compliance with individual manufacturer warranty conditions

  • Performance of equipment once installed with a cover

SE Covers accepts no liability for any loss, damage, or failure arising from:

  • Incorrect product selection

  • Improper installation or use

  • Modification of the product

  • Failure to follow manufacturer or installation requirements

If you are unsure about suitability, consult your installer or equipment manufacturer prior to purchase and installation.

Covers are typically made to order - please allow 3-4 weeks before shipping.
