Solar Inverter Cover – Aluminium Protection for Outdoor Installations

Protect your solar inverter with a purpose-built cover designed for Australian conditions.

Manufactured from 2mm marine-grade 5000 series aluminium, these covers provide long-term protection from heat, UV exposure, rain and general wear while maintaining a clean, professional installation finish.

Designed to suit the most common inverter brands used across Australia including Sungrow, Fronius, Goodwe, SMA and SolarEdge.

Built for Real Conditions

Outdoor inverters are constantly exposed to sun, weather and debris. Over time this leads to heat stress, reduced efficiency and premature wear.

This cover is designed to reduce direct solar exposure and protect the inverter without restricting airflow or serviceability.

Ventilated Design

The cover is designed to protect without trapping heat.

• Open side design for airflow

• Reduces direct sun load on the inverter

• Allows natural ventilation around the unit

• Maintains required operating clearances

This is not a sealed enclosure. It is designed to protect while allowing the inverter to operate correctly.

Access & Serviceability

Bracket hinge design. The lower brackets have thumb screws which can be used and allow the coverr to hinge upwards. 
The upper brackets have an extra slot which allow the cover to come out a further 20mm for additional clearance from conduits.

Note: Pending size of conduit or ducting  installed behind the inverter, the pivot function may be restricted.

Installation

Supplied as a precision-cut bolt-together kit.

• Assembled using basic tools (spanner and Allen key) - bolted together

• 4 x brackets fixed to the wall and cover

• Each bracket has 2 mounting points

Note: The covers have a decent range of flex once installed due to the design and properties of the Aluminium.

Recommended minimum clearance: approximately 70mm on all sides (subject to manufacturer requirements).

All inverter covers are made to order.

Typical lead time: 2–4 weeks from order.

Installation Responsibility

Inverter manufacturers specify minimum clearance and ventilation requirements. These must be strictly followed.

It is the responsibility of the installer to:

• Confirm internal fitment prior to installation

• Maintain adequate airflow and prevent heat build-up

• Ensure full compliance with all manufacturer installation and clearance requirements
